Front End Differences, 80-96

Are the earlier '80-'86 TTB front ends adjustable for camber as are the later versions? How about the brakes, are they the same diameter as the later units? If you were buying a complete front end for a 2wd to 4wd conversion, with the idea of doing a complete rebuild/replace anyway, regardless of age, would it be more cost effective to buy an earlier, cheaper, setup vs. later?
Thanks for your input, Ed
