<TABLE><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">I'm a new member and a new owner of a 2005 F250 Harley Davidson Edition with the 6.0 and 26,000 miles on it. I've heard that there were many issues with the turbo on these ? The truck has set in the garage since buying it in Feb. of 2007. I have only driven it occasionly and just recently this last weekend. I have changed out the air intake to an AIRAID system.

What I'm now noticing is the turbo boost is not working all the time. It seems that it works intermittingly. One 35 mile trip it did not work until I romped it down completly, then it just picked up a little. But what is puzzling is the ride home after shutting it off and back on it worked fine. Then the next day it is back to not working again.
Has anyone experienced problems like this ?

sgiauque,

It could very well be sticking turbo vanes, it could also be sticking EGR valve. Take it in and let the dealer look at it.

FYI lose the A/M air intake they have no upside, only downside. The OEM factory unit is the best system for filtration and performance until you get to 500+ Hp. There are lots of threads on this.
Also remove the A/M air intake as many dealers and FMC do not like them and can void your warranty over it.

Thanks, I changed out the air intake hoping for some increase in fuel mileage. From what I read i made a mistake in buying this.

I have a 4" SS exhaust system, turbo back, that needs installed yet. I hope that it was not a waste of money??

I'll change back to the stock intake and make visit to the local Ford dealer. Thanks Again !!

Exhaust systems are good things and lower EGT. Read the threads as there is a crap load of information posted on this.

FYI talk to your dealer and ask them what there position is on "Turbo Back" exhaust systems. Some dealers are not mod friendly and do no like "Turbo Back" systems others don't care. Cat back systems don't tend to cause any dealer issues.

Hey welcome to the site. Yup, there's tons of info on the site...start at the Tech Folder for the 6.0. I've camped out there since I bought my 03 and am learning a lot.

Yep understand. I'm not changing out the exhaust until I get the turbo issue fixed through the dealer. I'm switching back to the stock air intake also before taking it in.
