well as most of you know i was having insanely bad elec/fuel problems with my bronco...shes been running like a champ for the past week, ive been hittin puddles, bumps and what not to try and see if something can trigger it to **** the bed again. my main assumption is that it was the inertia switch causing all these problems. when the inertia switch is hooked up it boggs and stalls out, while it was bogging i un hooked the switch and the bronco regained all its power and idling. its running WOOOO HOOOOO i was so excited.
heres my new question. whats the biggest exhaust i can put on it. and adding a bigger exhaust, will it screw up a comp on the bronco? for something like air fuel mixture etc.. thanks
I have a 2 1/2" custom cat-back on mine. Maybe a little overkill, but I'm not done with it. If, however, you put something that large on the truck and your passenger side front floorboard is getting really really really hot, might be time to consider getting a new catalytic converter, as a larger cat-back should cool things down, not heat them up. All I have left on what I want to do is the custom y-pipe and hi-flow cat... as I'm not sure I want to do headers... still trying to decide, actually.
My question is, did you ever get a new inertia switch to see if that will fix it without bypassing the old one?
i hooked everything up the way it should be, put the inertia switch in and it seems to of caused the problem. i have to go to the wreckers and hunt one down, i took my old switch apart and saw some burnt ends in there so my assumption is that it is toast. i kind of wish i would of found out about this in the beginning, not at the very end. i learnt alot in this whole or deal, and learnt even more from you guys. when i do find a new switch ill definitely be sure to try it out and let you guys know how it goes.
well i checked out my whole exhaust system and it looks good except for a small hole cause by the hanger busting off. i might just put a nice big tip on the end. any suggestions i could do to give it some umph in performance? but not big enough to kill the wallet
