Tachometer help
Well I read some of the previous posts on here before buggin you guys but I may have hooked my external Tachometer up wrong. I have a 351w and I took the green lead from the tach and hooked it up to the coil where two green wires plug in. There was also a yellow wire, but it did not work at all. The tach seems to be inaccurate showing 2k on idle and bouncing around when accelerating. Did i install this incorrectly?

I'm guessing that you got the wiring right but have the switch in the wrong location. Most aftermarket tachs have a 4-6-8 setting. If you're on 6 or 4 then it's gonna read like you're saying. Try looking on the back of the tach for some kind of engine control.
