They played baseball, not classical music..... The Three B's: Bach, Beethoven and Brahms. The Five (noveau-Russian composers): Ceu, Balakirev, Rimsky-Korsikov, Mussorgsky and Borodin. Y'all need to take Music Appreciation 101.

Oz is also a slang term for Australia.

"Toyota will be American when.......
1. When revenues and profits aren't reflected in yen or some other none USD currency.
2. When the stock is listed on the NYSE as domestic.
3. When the company employs more Americans than non-Americans.
4. When the bulk of company structure is within the shores of the US.
5. When the company headquarters resides within the shores of the US.
6. When the bulk of the company partnerships and relationships heavily reside within the shores of the US.
7. When the company contributes more to the GNP than American equivalents.
8. When the company produces substantially more cars in the US than they import.
9. When the company meets the above criteria, then the company can be considered good for America and Americans.
Till then it's a token effort at best and an attempt to shroud and cloud the less informed that these companies have magically become American and are somehow great for our future and well being."
Not bad, but you leave so much out to bolster your cause.
As long as some af that "Yen" returns here as opposed to the Dollar leaving the country, it's fine with me. (again, who's adding jobs and who is trimming their U.S. workforce)
Stocks.........yes, the NYSE spurs our economy. But as individuals we may invest in Toy or whomever..
I'm almost positive that Ford employs as many workers worldwide as the do Americans.
The fact that any "American" company imports at all....
4 and 5 are redundant.....so is Haliburton not American any longer??
Why bulk??? Nice spin. The fact that "Domestic" automakers are partners with Japanese (or other) makers is of importance here.....you pledge your loyalty but the companies you worship don't....
GNP.........when Ford spends 2 billion to build the MAZDA based cars in Mexico.....nevermind.

Is it the article comparing Fusion to Camry (and Accord)?
Provenance IS everything.

Your as graceful as a ballerina on crack on how you dance around statements presented to you.
What Toyota isn't American? Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Chalk another up for the ME. When has anyone stated that Toyota is more "American" than Chevy, Ford, or Dodge? Once again, taken out of context.
Research domestic content in the Tundra compared to GMC. I don't actually know what your beloved research will uncover but if and when you do, feel free to post it so we know the facts.
So providing jobs and livehood to your fellow Americans must be the ploy to "shroud" and "cloud". You remind me of another member we once had here had this paranoia of Toyota ( as a whole ) trying to take over America.
