i just bought a 71 f100 for the cab, and it came with a rebuilt 302. the guy didn't know what he was doing, the alt was fastened by one bolt, standing straight up, with the belt on the wrong side of the water pump.lol
does anyone have a few pics of their 302 with a 4 barrel edelbrock carb? the lines on this truck are not where the should be. also will the linkage from a 300-6 work, the zip tie that's holding this together doesn't look too safe.
i'll try to post a pic tomorrow night.
thanks all
mark
For throttle linkage, I'd make my own rod from the pedal arm on firewall to carb. Simple and straight. No need for all the added crap that came on these trucks. I think there is still a picture in my '67 gallery showing my set up(it's a 352, but that don't matter).
i didn't see anything in your gallery. tonight i'm changing a frost plug, but i'll take a few pics of what i'm dealing with. tomorrow the carb rebuild kit comes in so i would like to get this running by the weekend. it still needs all the brakes, lines, and who knows what else done to it.
thanks
