Hi all,
I have recently purchased a 99 F250 SD, SC, 4WD, V10 for a great price ($2k) but it needs a lot of work although I am able to drive it every day. I have ordered several parts from the local parts store but they were the wrong item 3 out of 4 times. When I go to the Ford dealer they get it right every time. It's because the parts guy at Ford is able to look up an exploded view of every part of my specific truck on a computer program and get the exact part number. The parts store uses a generic program and they guess at the right part. Also the Haynes and Chilton manuals I purchased for Super Duties don't have enough detail or cover all the things I'm working on. So my question is can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of the program the Ford parts department uses with the complete truck diagrams and parts numbers? Thanks for any help.
There's only a few parts that you will have issue's with....1st tell yhem its a super duty cause in 99 the old style was still made. Also check the manuf date see if its before 3-99 thats an early 99 and stuff like brake rotors, hub bearing, and track rod are different. Let us know what you need and we'll learn ya...Welcome and enjoy the truck.
Go to eBay and search for a user who goes by the name of "karnagesystems". He sells the OEM DVD Shop Manuals (or did several months ago). I got mine for my '02 F250 for about $25 from him. Great seller, prompt, good product. These are the actual Shop Manuals used in the dealer service centers.
