Transmission Issues/ Oasis Report

This is my first post here... Well two weeks ago I bought a 2005 Excursion Power Stroke 6.0L. 37000 miles. 4x4. Eddie Bauer. Well Saturday coming out of a red light, the transmission slipped from 3rd to 4th it did it a few more times on that quick trip. The RPMs jumped let off the gas and clicked into gear. I came home checked the tranny fluid and all is well.. That was Saturday, it didnt do it today on my way home work and I stomped on the gas going up a hill, just to see.. Its going to a dealer Wednesday morning... Low miles, whats going on here, my friend thought I was crazy because he rode home with me to see... I know when it slips. Just curious why is it doing it just that time and not since, something electrical? I dunno,, Transmissions are greek to me... Just a little nervous eventhough there is a warrenty, i hope i didnt get a crap shoot.

there are solenoids in there maybe one may be bad...if there good they will check the line pressure..since your at 37k most do the tranny flush at 30k and change the external filter...it holds 18 qts...make sure it all comes out...if u dont want to pay 300 for the dealer to do it u can get mercon sp spec oil from amsoil and the filter from ford and do it yourself....using the write up in the tech section at the top of the page...also there is a oasis request there too....that is where you need to put that vin in.... Welcome to the forum....and let me just squeeze in to use only racor filters.. both oil and fuel filters. Fram is at wally world and is racor in a fram box..and motorcraft is also. Advance auto sells the fuel filters for 40 for the set....good clean oil is a must change it every 5k unless u do a blackstone report...oil is a personal choice..synthetic is not needed and very costly. I use MotorCraft 15w40 at advance auto for 9.98 for 5 qts. also look into geting a remote by-pass system and a coolant filter system and no aftermarket air filters. I try to tell all new members and new 6.0 owners this tip. good luck and have fun with it..
