At Ford he says there are two VSS'. On on top the Differential that controls the speedometer and some other stuff.
Also one in the Transmission.
The Diff sensor was $30, the one in the trans is $48.
So I bought the Diff VSS and replaced it.
Those Damn plastic connectors broke of course. So I have it sorta lashed in with Nylon string and wire ties.
That cured the Speedo wandering needle. The CC still has the problem of surging and dropping off.
So...is it the VSS in the trans causing my CC problems?
Or is it something else?
the vss on the diff is for antilock brake system the one on the trans is the one you need note there are two gears here one you remove from the side simple job and the other is inside which meshes with the other not a simple job. Try changing the easy one first snd see if it works.
