Slack ?
in my daddys 04 f150 when you are runnin at a constant speed and let off , and then get back on it , its got like slack in the rearend or sumthin else , has anybody else expericned this problem ?

i just had my truck looked at for that same issue. they replaced the driveshaft and it kept doing it. the last time i took it in they said they called ford and they told them that it was normal to have a bit of slack....i dont think it was right but at least now it is documented a couple of times. i just live with it now even though it is annoying.

My old Bronco did it, but it had 283,000 miles. Even after replacing the pressed in joint and the 3 u-joints, it still had a loose feeling. But I wasn't going to spend any $ to fix what wasn't broke.
It was annoying though to hear that "thunk" on takeoff though.
