Im no expert, but You would have to get a different drive shaft, a connection from the tranny to the transfer case, a front driveshaft, a front diff, front axles, and possibly some front end modifications.
The frames are supposed to be same. I'm not sure about the front crossmember but you can have that swapped. You will need complete front differential assembly ,The radius arms ,front rear ,drive shaft for front and back . Xfer case and shift linkage. Depending on the trans you have you may need to swap it as some trans like the Mazda 5sd and e4od have fixed tail shafts and 2x4 &4x4 are different. Also will need stuff for rear to make higher. Blocks and maybe springs. I don't know for sure because there are few 2x4 around here. If you get a part truck or at least access to a truck to get all parts off it will be way cheaper in long run. Good luck
I'm not a mech by no means, but I seen this type of post before, and the reply from the more 'sperienced fellas on here tell the original poster to buy a 4x4...It's not worth the investment...Just something to look into...Do a search for "4x4 conversion", and see what pops up..
