Well I did something stupid the other day. I put my oil dipstick on top of the engine because it was in my way, and now it is on the road somewhere. My question is are the dipsticks the same length in the 2.8 and 2.9 I have a 2.8?
Need to go to pick and pull.
Thanks,
Bob
I imagine not since they have different engine pans. I would just hit the junkyard, do a LOF, run the vehicle, turn it off, let it sit, and double check the stick to make sure it is okay.
If your 2.8 stick fits without blowing out, just do the above and mark the full level with a couple of scribes or an engraver. I have used different sticks to save the trip to the junkyard.
