Fixing Notorious Leak
I've got an 86 f150 with that notorious in cab leak up under the dash on the drives side. Could some one please refer me to a thread if they know one, or give me some advice on how to fix this. It is really bad when the winter comes and the snow melts and comes inside and freezes on the floor of the cab. Not good for the interior. Any advice is much appreciated.

Mine was on the passenger side where the original butyl rubber sealant had come loose from the windshield in two places, one on the side and one on the bottom. I had to remove most of the aluminum windshield moulding outside and the dash pad and plastic trim inside. Cleaned as much of the rust away as I could and treated the remainder with Ospho, washed everything down with soap and water. Bought a tube of Butyl Rubber Adhesive Caulk and applied vigorously inside and outside of windshield. It's very messy, have plenty of mineral spirits and rags on hand. OBTW, you'll need a windshield trim removable tool to get the moulding clips released. Found mine on Ebay at a much better price than locally. could also be your drip rails if they are the culprit. weld down the middle of them and check to make sure there is no rust on the cab around the inside or outside around the windshield or doors.
