I am newish here to the forum. I guess I will start by saying hi... HI. I am looking for installation instructions for a peripheral ipod2car for my Ford F-150 2005. They made it sound really easy but they didnt provide me with radio removal instructions, only instructions that will help once the radio is removed. Does anybody have a pdf or is there a post somewhere with instructions? Once I hook it up ill tell you all how this thing works out
Ford likes to use a four pin tool to remove the radio. Look for two small holes, a little bigger than 1/4" on each side of the radio. Push a tool into all four of the holes, somthing like allen wrenches or you can buy the U-tool for about $10 and remove the radio.
You might have to pull some trim to get the radio out. Look around, they aren't too hard to remove, just ask a thief.
yeah reAX is right, usually you need to remove the moulding, but it all just pops off, and good luck trying to get the radio out with anything other than the four pin tool...you wont...but usually if you go to a local radio shop and ask if you can borrow their four pin tool they will let you do it (its actually 2 tools), at least thats what i did, they let me use it and didnt cost me anything, or you could buy it if you can find it
