What Is That?

What is that box under the carpet on the passenger side? 94 F250 XL 4x4 5.8L auto C6

Someone has done some splicing of wires to it. Is it the CPU? kind of small. If not where is the CPU?

Thanks,

David

The CPU (PCM Computer) is on the drivers side behind the kick panel and assessable from the engine compartment.

I do not know of any boxes under the carpet, got a photo?

the box turned out to be a stereo component to allow a CD player to be used with the stock stereo. There were a bunch of wires and splices, looked like a real hack job. I took it out.
