Freeze plug replacement
I need to replace a block freeze plug in the back of the block on my 91 7.3. The truck is part and I have the pluc. Do I seat the plug against the pan and peen it in the middle or do I need to put sealer around it, seat it then peen it? Any help will be appreciated!

Do you mean the rear of the sides or on the very back of the block normally located under the adapter plate........ My personal choice would be have an expert do it, most machine shops can do it in a matter of minutes with the right tools and correct size.... and should/will be warranteed should it push out and you loose an engine.
