Diesel conversion
Found this 68 Ranger that only needs an engine. I am thinking about putting a Mercedes Benz turbodiesel engine into it. Any ideas? I can always fall back to the failsafe of putting in a 5.0efi/aod. Thanks!

I suspect the MB engine might be a bit underpowered for something as heavy as a full-sized truck. As for the tranny, you'd have to use the MB tranny as well, or make an adapter. Lots 'o work...
