I have a 97 Expedition that has a wrecked front end and was wanting to know if parts from an F150 or other Ford trucks are enterchangeable. It was hit on passengers side and its a 4X4. They told me that it is totaled but it looks like it can fixed. Its the hub,a-frame,and other chassis parts that i was wandering if other trucks were interchangeable. If anyone knows if it can be done i'd appreciate the info.
Most parts are, if your going to go junkyard diving there should be a part # stamped for reference.
Is the frame wracked?....if so, that's probably why they totalled it. Before going through the rebuild process check with a body shop with a frame straightener on avg cost to this and the possible reason they totalled yours. Could save you a lot of money and sweat for nothing.
