pcv valve?

I just bought a 1988 ranger with 2.3fi and was trying to replace the pcv valve but I can't find it. I chased vaccum lines all over. Help!

There is a vacuum hose underneath the upper intake manifold that runs behind/next to the distributor to the crankcase vent canister midway of the lower block just above the pan rail. The valve is located midway of this hose, sometimes behind the distributor. jd
