Search help...

Hey all...I need a little help searching for a thread that covers the passenger power window mechanics. My passenger window has started to skip while it's going up...It goes down fine, but going up, it acts like something is stripped..

I'm sure something has already been spoke, like how to get the door panel off and the innner workings of the power window assembly...

Any help would be appreciated.....

I have been searching, but maybe my keywords aren't right...

Dern-it! Get one thing fixed and two things break! Gotta love owning an old truck...

There are many threads about this. Most of them say that if you do have a mechanical problem in the door......it's the plastic gear that breaks over time. Dealers and parts stores sell a kit to fix it........I've seen it at Advance. They also say you need the kit for the "later" models if your truck is 90 and up I think.

Mine was doing the same thing and I tore the door apart and found everything ok.....lubed it and after putting the door panel back on it was still doing it I sprayed some silicone lube in the rubber channels and it started going up much faster and not stopping. Give that a try before you tear everything off.......lots easier.

Good Luck
