No Stop Lites!!!

i have a 67 f-250, recently i have no stop lites. i changed the brake lite switch, still no brake lite. i have running lites and turn signals.
any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Get a meter or testlight and check for voltage at the brake switch you just replaced.

ive checked the new and old brake switch, both function properly. but i found out why i have no brake lites, brake lites work only if i have the turn signal on. i cant be running down the highway with rite or left turn signal on, orr can i,??
any other suggestions.

Sounds like the turnsignal switch is bad. If you have voltage coming in and going out of the brake switch, then after that, the voltage goes into the turnsignal switch. With the turnsignal switch in the center position, when you push on the brake, you should have one wire that has voltage coming into the turnsignal switch(the brake switch wire) and you should have two other wires with voltage on them(the wires going to the rear lights).

If you have voltage coming in, and none coming out, then the turnsignal switch is at fault.
