Go with Donahoe Racing. They are hand down the best lift IMO. I rode in a '01 F350 with a 6" lift and is was much smoother than my stock F250. The kits are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Want to put a lift on my 2001 F350 7.3L
I am probably going to go 4 inches but dont want a rough ride
Any opinions on what brand to go with.
The Donahoe Racing 4.5" system will actually improve ride quality over stock. The entire system is made 100% in the USA and is backed by a lifetime warranty. Here are a couple of examples:
Definately give Marty at Trucktoyzperformance a call. He built both my trucks...daily drivers. I did a lot of research before I had mine lifted for the first time and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that he knows what he is talking about and he will take care of you.
Ditto on DR. I have the 4" which is a spring set as opposed to the 4.5 which is a shackle set. Love it. It was better than stock until I mussed with the back end. Really my truck exists only to pull, and it squatted on stock springs, bad. Rather than a full spring set, I added leafs and bags, and now it doesnt squat under a trailer at all, but it be just a tad hard on the kidneys riding empty.
When I win the lotto, and I go spend just stupid amounts of money on a truck, I'll put a DR on that too. And probably shout at Marty (not that I know him, but I've heard so much here its kind of hard not to think you know him) to do a lot of other stuff too.
