Ok,so after reading that webmaster would rather have the SNL club chat on saturday nights instead of making a zillion posts and abusing the server,I decided to try the chat feature, but all I get is a blank screen with a red x in the upper left hand corner. If I left click on the page nothing happens. If I right click on it,its gives me two choices,Java console and about Java. When I click on Java console it goes to a page that only a rocket scientist could read. And besides,I didnt know this thing could even make coffee!HELP!
Nope... IE6, actually. Was warned to stay away from 7.
Unless Firefox has undergone MASSIVE upgrades to the underlying mozilla engine, it chokes on the javascript on my company's website (to say nothing about the fact that my company designed it's website exclusively for IE6.). I'll stick with IE6 for now.
I use Firefox and have never had a problem with the FTE chat feature. Just downloaded the JAVA Script plugin, and it worked for me.
A lot of folks have had trouble with the Chat feature (All of the Club SNL folks, that is)
Is there another way to get into different chat room?
You're supposed to be able to create your own, but it doesn't work at all. I was working with one of the Moderators during the second week of SNL to figure it out. Followed all the directions and we both tried for quite a while. Doesn't work though.
If you want to shoot the bull anytime and with some roudy people, I will send you a pm to the site.
Be ready to take some abuse.
What we....ie,...SNL Club would like to do, is shoot the bull with each other with out stepping on the group already in the chat! It seems the only way is though posts! I don't want to get in trouble by posting to much at SNL. But what other choice do we have?
Well, I just messed with the chat feature, and I was able to get it to switch to a channel called SNL. First time that's ever worked... There might be hope for some of us...
KT, you tried Firefox yet?
