i want to build a snorkel ! should the head of it (air intake) face forward for a ram air effect, or backwards so that it dont suck in crap, (water, bugs etc) seems like both would have there advantages + dis-advantages? (talk amungst yourselves + let me know)
No question is stupid .If you don't know you don't . Most snorkels used by off roaders are hight and face rearward . So if they splash or are in deep water it wont suck in.
On the road you can aim forward just put heavy mesh screen then finner one to keep bugs rock ETC out of intake. I probably didn't answer question but this is what I know.
actually you did because i never thought about making the top able swivel? (duh)thats why i like to throw this stuff out there + see what i get back! i cant see spendin 3-400$'s on some premade plastic peice (preety yes) when i can build it myself outta pvc! i'll just notch the top + put a clamp around it( i'll make it look good) so thank you, whats your thoughts about which side it should go on? i think pass side would look right but drivers side you would have easy acess to reaching the top. hey whats a centurion
Yep Actually the Bronco is a C150 Late 80's to 96
The bronco version could be had in 150 or 350 staight axle versions with diesel 460 351 302 . Looked stock on outside maybe custom paint or flares. Could look stock on inside or have custom seat ETC. I've lposted on a couple that came up for sale in Pa thought someone would like a diesel Bronco but no one PM'd me.
What Im looking for is the truck Version (haul familly and toy) F150 crew cab 4x4 short bed that just looks stock .
They came in F150 crew
F350 crew / strechted like limmo / crew with Sc added to back /6 doors/ you think it they made it. Also made stock /reg /crew/ dually with custom paint interior.
I could not tell if the snorkel was wanted for looks or function. If for function and not crossing high water but wanting ram air for efi then get a F-350 with 460 air inlet tube from a junk yark. It fits in the hole beside the radiator and just snaps in the air box where the over-the-radiator one is now.
