Has anyone attempted to install a dual hinge on their SCAB's rear doors? BY dual hinge I mean something similar to the new Silverado where you can open the rear door all the way up against the bed. I noticed in tight spots it can be tough getting stuff in the back with these suicide doors.
hmmmmm... not that i carry much stuff in my cab, but if it's too big for the cab it goes in the bed. whodathunk?
I think your missing my point. In a tight spot you open your front door first and then your back suicide door. Now your passenger has to squeeze by and then jump in the back. If the door openeed out all the way they could easily jump in.
mbogosia, You have a great point. It can be frustrating at times. Try putting your kid in the scab in the pouring rain in a tight spot!!! DARN it gets to be a shuffle.....open front door, open scab, close front door a little, sneek by......etc etc.....

no, i didn't miss your point and i wasn't trying to be a smartass, buuuut, you did say "stuff" not passengers. i rarely carry more than one passenger in my scab. the most persons i've had in my truck is 3 and it has been no problem in any of the parking lots. honestly, if you are concerned about your passengers access, i would consider getting a screw or a car. i can see where it would be a pain in the *** in certain situations, especially very tight rainy ones, but my truck is a work truck. i do want it to look nice, especially since it's new but i know sooner or later it will get banged up a little. i just hope not too much where i pop an artery in my head and all you hear coming out of my mouth is #@$%@#% #@!$#@! #$%!@#$ #$!#@ @#$%#!!!
If you wanted the option, you should have gotten something foriegn. Try parking in an area the has more room around your truck. Or have the passenger open the passenger/drivers door, then open the Scab door while standing between them instead of doing it the way you're are now....

Seriously? Wow I bet he never thought of that. Good thing there's people on here like you to point out the obvious.
Boy, there are some smart asses jumping in on this one. I thought it was a pretty good question. Hopefully, someone that has some intelligent input will answer.

supercrew anyone? or better yet, he should get his truck's brains blowed out.
LOL. Yeah I was just exploring this. I can easily live with my truck how it is, I just thought it would be cool to see if anyone has done this or if it is possible. I mean if someone came out with a kit for a couple hundred I might try it out someday.
