Talking Exhaust???

where is the cheapest place to find a stack for my truck? i want the shiney stainless steel ones, and im not sure weather to go with 4" or 5". is there any difference in sound/performance? i chopped the stock exhaust right at the end of the cab (reg cab) so it would be easy to hook up the stacks. it should only need a elbow and a pipe to run through the bed and into the stack. does anyone have any advise on the stacks?

I personally hate stacks, but you can get 'em at any local Kenworth or Freightshaker shop. If your gonna do a stack might as well do a 5" unit. Do you have any injects?

nope, no injects yet anyways. my plan is to do the stack, the ill get a dp tuner w/ t. wildman tuning. my buddy in oklahoma city told me that he's turned a few wrenches with t. wildman and he does a hell of a job with the tuners! i figured if i bought stacks through a semi shop they'd be pretty damn expensive dont ya think? if you know anyone that knows some stuff about stacks have them give me a shout if you could. thanx powerstroked

Ask TjBeggs. He has a set of 6" chrome shiner stacks on his rig. If your only buyin one it shouldn't be to exspensive. Maybe try ebay?

by the way, do you reccomend i get the injects from beans performance when i get them? also, w/ a stock rebuilt automatic E4OD tranny, do you think it would be able to handle the power of stage 1 injectors. mind yourself i do have a bit of a lead foot lol!!!

Definetly beans stage 1's or the DIY stage 1's. both great inject companies. As far as the stock trans holdin up i would say no but there are a select few that have stage 1's and stock trannies with no problems. I think that if you let the tranny shift through the gears before laying into it very possible could stand up ok, but its when you try and launch off the line, floor boardin the accelerator your gonna have some serious slippage and heat problems. Either way your gonna need a bigger trans fluid cooler. Let me know if you have any more questions

with the tuner i should notice a pretty dramatic change in hp also right, instead of a hypertech power programmer?

most you'll see outta a tuner without injects is about 65hp, which is 35 more then a hypertech unit. More fuel= more power, so if you want big numbers you need more fuel. of course followed by more air, ie; intake, bigger turbo etc.,

Depends on what you want. if you want mild power gains but still keep things safe then go for it. If you want to be greedy then go with stage 1's but understand that tranny might not hold up to the abuse your gonna be throwin at it. They are all great injectors from Beans no matter what size you go, its just about how much power you want. Things will need to be beefed up if you plan on any longevity outta that stock trans.
