OK guys I saw a great deal on GT 40 upper and lower intake. What I was wondering is two things....one will it work with my 5.0 even though its not an 5.0 HO? And two if it does work will I need to change my hood? My friend put GT40 on his mustang and had to change to a cowl hood. I was hoping either there was some way to get around it or is it necessary? help me out!!!

It should fit, although you will have to swap position of the upper, which is not a problem it fits both ways. The real big thing however is you will probably need a Lightning Throttle Cable, and you will need to figure out how to mate the intake hoses up, unless you get a mustang air cleaner hose set up. I had looked at this for mine, if you do do decide to go through with it give me a hollar at hotrodford_88(No Email Addresses In Posts!) and let me know.
I can also lay my hot little hands on a set of those for about $150 for both the upper and lower.

If you can get me upper and lower for $150 in good running condition please let me in on that. That would fit my beer budget! smoothtalkr29483(No Email Addresses In Posts!)

Well the $150 deal was from a guy I deal with all the time with Ford & performance stuff that I do to this truck. And he said that was when he could get them, they are used intakes, but hey, intakes don't wear out. But now I think I might put that on the back burner, because I just found an excellent deal on a 1967 Galaxie 500 2 Door Fastback. This thing rocks, 289, 3 speeed W/ OD (factory), Factory A/C, White w/Red interior. It was good looking! I think I might get it to replace the 66 Mustang I was showing four years ago. But the mustang is now to far gone for me do help it back up to show condition. So, I'm forced to sell it.
But, this car will not take my Mustangs place. After all it was my first car, but the Galaxie has excellent styling and handling (even though it doesn't have power steering).
