Well, mine is torn at the turbo, i tried to prevent it by putting the air filter where it is now(stuck between the battery and the rad hose lol). I need to know if there is a new intake pipe i can get (like a k&n tube or something).
I have asked the same question before. Seems like I've read where some have used the K&N tube. The most common answer I got was to go to a big truck parts house and get a piece of 4" exhaust pipe with a 45° bend in it and cut the ends to fit your need. It would even be better than the stock intake anyway since it would be completely smooth on the inside.
i have the old K&N air box with a drop in filter still on my shelf..thought i tossed it..not sure if the tube will fit your truck though..i can measure it if you like..remember my truck is an early 99...
i just went out and looked.. it seems its a stock ford rubber hose that go's from the air box to the ccv adapter...i have the AFE stage 2 no need for the hose..it has a 4" id hole at both ends...
ive got one sitting on my toolbox right now.no need for it as im running ats housing and its now 4" all the way.send me a pm withg an adress and i can send it out.
