oil level sender
There is no internal nut, the entire unit just screws into the oil pan. Be aware, there is also a large fiber gasket required between the pan and housing. This does NOT come with the sending unit and must be purchased separately..
There is a spring wire bail that keeps the sensor in the housing. If prying it loose becomes a chore, you can also use a piece of cheesecloth or other tough, light material to pull back and forth in the slot to remove the bail wire.
If memory serves, I think the replacement unit from the local Ford dealership was around $45.00. You might try one of the online Ford parts sites for better pricing.
try one of these

call or email the FTE Ford parts houses, they don't list all avail parts online
give complete description and make sure they know it's NOT the oil pressure sender but the Low Oil Level sender
