Driving Lights
Driving Lights
I am looking for the smallish square driving lights that fit into the corners of the lower grille area. Does anyone have any information on these? Like the ones that come on the Super Duty. Is there any kit out there that can be added to the F150 to give the same apperance and functionality?
The Superduty's square aux. lights are actually fog lights...
PIAA has some square lights that look much like the SD's and from what I hear they fit in the same spot very nicely. Whether or not, and how well, they will fit in the F150 is unknown. Take some measurements and find out. You might have to make a bracket, I forget what it looks like down there.
Be aware that the PIAA 410, and any other true "driving light", is for use with high beams only. If you want something to use with your low beams get a fog light. the PIAA 1400's are rectangular, but would fit very well I'm sure. Given the round headlight reflector, I've always thought a round small lamp would fit and look nice in that space.
As far as good quality small lamps, PIAA and Hella are going to be your best bet these days. PIAA didn't yet have the 410 listed on there site last I checked, so you'll have to Google it.
For the price that the superduty lights cost, get some better quality aftermarket lights listed above. Higher wattage (the SD fogs use a ~40 watt bulb), better reflector, just better over all and it will come with the wiring you'll need.
