It dyno'd at 567 HP and 575 Torque. It was interesting when Keith was building the engine how much HP he could squeeze out of these blocks. The options were endless, but I wanted something that would run on pump gas, had EFI and was on the border of too much power for the weight of our trucks. I gave him a range that I wanted and he built it to meet that. I was tempted, oh so tempted, to up the HP to an amount that was even more ridiculus for the weekend driving I do, but was able to restrain myself.........even though a 750 HP workhorse under the hood would have been great.
If you ever talk with a nicer man, who will actually spend time explaining things to you, you're lucky. Had a great experience.
My 428 in race car is somewhere in those numbers(using simple math speed=HP) and I'd say it's streetable, but I'd bet ALOT of people would say NO WAY!! I'm sure the added CI makes the power easier, the EFI makes it very tunable, and the heads flow great numbers to make it all happen.
