Quick question re: ball joints
Doing some work on the truck, checking the undercarriage, etc.
Did the stock ball joints come with grease fittings? The guy i bought the truck off of only had it for a yr or two, and he didnt know too much about it. He never changed the ball joints, but I see grease fittings on the ball joints, and when i greased them, the grease that came out was actually somewhat clean looking.
Any input?

I just replaced 4 in the front end of the '85 I'm working on yesterday. Old ones (I know they are stock) did not have fittings. New ones (TRW) did come with fittings.
Not really the best answer, but it is what it is. Maybe that's enough to help though.

I have each side up on jack stands right now, and they won't move up or down (no play). I greased them up too.
I"m guessing they'll be ok? Some of the people who've had ball joints snap on them have made me paranoid, lol.
