Timing cover problem

Timing cover problem
Well, one of the top ears and a small piece of the cover broke, during installation
So my qustion to the masses, can this be fixed anyway without having to buy a new and or used cover, its for a 300 L6. I am sure I can find some thing to secure it together that should with stand the heat, and I dont believe there is much oil in that area as its on top. Has anyone else ever tried a repair of this type? I know I am not the first to encounter this problem, just wanna see if its been done with success. I would hate to put it back together with a patch and have to do it all over again. New covers are a bit pricey. Any input is welcomed
