overdrive light blinking-speedo jumping???

overdrive light blinking-speedo jumping???
Just noticed the overdrive light is blinking and the trans seems to be shifting harder. Still hits all the gears just noticeably more firmer shifts. Also the last few weeks the speedo has started to jump around. Sorry I don't have a code reader "yet". Can these problems be related somehow? Its a 92 F250 4x4 7.3l diesel 4spd auto.. Thanks for any help..

most likley these problems are related you probably need a new speed sensor. It is located in the rear end. when the speed sensor is messed up it sends the trans into limp mode. you realy dont want to be driving the truck while the trans is in limp mode it is only designed to get you off the road or to a shop to fix what is wrong.

Yipppeeee.. Brownieboy525 was 100% right. Purchased new sensor and installed, disconnected the batteries for a while to clear the code, problem solved. Forgot to mention that my rear abs light was on also. This also was fixed. Thanks for your help Brownieboy525..
