'02 F150 4x4 with 5.4 engine
When I turn the key to the on position (without turning engine over) all of my gauges move to the far right, speed shows I'm going max speed, rpm's show max rpm, etc. After a few seconds everything goes back to normal. My radio won't come on, not even the clock. My windows won't work. Then when I go to turn the engine over all I get is the clicking sound as if my solenoid is out.
At first I didn't notice the electrical problems and thought the starter/solenoid was bad. Then when I noticed electrical issues I figured maybe something else is causing the problem.
Anyone know what my problem is? Please help. Just bought truck a month ago.

be careful jumping it, since you dont know whats wrong with it, you could fry both vehicls, make sure to use a jump box, check the cables and battery posts for excessive corrosion, and get em nice and clean, maybe that will help.
If it is a motorcraft battery and it went out the only thing that will jump it is a semi battery. I had this happen to me and i freaked out much like you are doing i am sure so i took it to the dealer ship and the hooked up a huge battery to it and it fired right up so i drove to a parts store and bought a batter and no problems since! 99% sure it is a very dead battery!
