Toyota 4Runner
I got a few goodies for my '53 today at a U-Pull junkyard. I got a 1970 F100 rear end with 3.25 gears and a Toyota power steering box. I got them both for $175.00 total. Hope I did OK on the rear end, I will take it apart soon. I wanted to let anyone who is out there looking for the Toyota box to not overlook the 4runner as it has the same box as a 4X4 pickup. I have not seen this mentioned in any of the posts or articles pertaining to the power steering conversion. Mine came out of an '84 4Runner. I am not sure but I think that '84 was the first year for the 4Runner. I hope this will come in handy for some who like me were getting discouraged with trying to find a 4X4 Toyota pickup with the correct box in a bone-yard, I haven't seen one yet.
