Ooooooops I washed my engine

Well I washed the engine down in my truck. I thought i was being careful and not directly hitting anything with the pressure washer. I have spark comming out of the coil and through the coil wire. No spark comming out of the distributor to the plugs. Where should i start next with my trouble shooting?

Try checking your distributor cap for hairline cracks. Water and a cracked distributor cap = trouble. Check your rotor to see if it's burned/eroded on the tip. Also, check the connection to the pickup on the side of the distributor.

cap seemed to be fine so did the rotor. I cleaned and checke dthe connection at the distribiutor. Still no fire

I got it started, but i think i got two of the spark plug leads crossed? Whats the order?
I do appreciate the help.

I don't know about that particular engine, but it's either embossed on the intake or on a sticker on the rad support. A good parts supplier will give you that info as well.

1-4-2-5-3-6
Cylinders numbered from right front to back = 1-2-3, left front to back 4-5-6

Distributor rotation = clockwise

#1 on cap = first wire ccw from rear cap clip jd
