when to re-gear ???

hi all, for those of you running a 6" lift with 35's, did you re-gear, or does the power plant push them ok with the stock gears? i wont be towing much, (if at all.... i just really like the looks!!!) but i dont want it to turn into a gutless wonder. i do have the edge with magnaflow siso exhaust, so my getting a little better power over stock. im just not sure if it will run good, or if i will be needing bigger gears soon down the road. thanks a bunch !!!

What gears do you have right now?

Do you have limited slip?

Unless you think it's a rocket ship now, I can just about guarantee you'll think it's a dog after going from 31-32" tires up to 35's. That's a 10%+ change, definitely noticeable.

I have 35's with factory 4.10's and its a bit of a difference but not as much as i thought it would be. I will eventually change to 4.56's or 4.88's.
I have K&N intake with flowmaster DIDO exhaust. The bigger tires slow it down a bit, but the truck still moves GOOD!

for every inch you go up in size you lose a tenth off your gear.....

example:

31" tires to 35" tires.....= +4
stock 3.55 gears now are in effect 3.15 gears so you need to go up a tenth in gear to keep you stock for every inch you gain in size to keep the stock gear...
