Need help
Will the bell housing and tranny 4 speed from an inline 6 from a 79 bolt right up to a 302 from around the late sixties...I'm sure i need a 302 flywheel too. Any help is appreciated in advance. 302 came from a 79 pic- up so motor motors and all that will jive too.

Please put the topic in the title everytime.
Check in the 302 engine forum as this is more of an inter-changeability between engine/transmission.
Drivetrain related.
The only problem I see is possibly the crankshaft pilot bushing.

In reference to the crank shaft pilot bushing. I went out and looked and the 4 speed shaft before splines is roughly 5/8 of an inch and the crank is like 3/4. So i'm hoping it will help. I read somewhere that late 60 302 cranks were machined differently. Is or does this sound like the case here? I can get case numbers too off the 4 speed if it will help

I'm not 100% sure if the pilot bushing is the same, but when I replaced my clutch (I bought a kit with the pressure plate, clutch disc, pilot bushing & throwout bearing), the kit came with 3 or 4 different diameter pilot bushings. My bet is the kit would fit anything from a 300 six, to a 351W with an 11" clutch?. Also not 100% sure about the flywheel, but all 300s have a zero imbalance, 302s came with either a 28oz imbalance, or a 50oz imbalance, so I think you would need the correct flywheel for the year of the 302 you have?
