Stiffing up suspension question
I have a '98 f-150 offroad. I tow a boat that weighs about 6k with no problems but the ball weight drops the back of the truck 6-8" which makes for poor handeling. I want to stiffen up the rear end with either an extra leaf or two, or use f-250 springs. I do not want to use air shocks. I hear that the f-250 leafs are too wide. Has anyone done either method?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-Oct-02 AT 04:54 PM (EST)]Firestone makes a good product that I have heard a lot of good things about. A friend of mine uses it on his 2002 F-350 4x4 for towing a large camper trailer and loves it. If you have stock shocks I would replace those as well.
