I know this has been covered before but I misplaced it, I'm going to tackle removing and installing a rear window this weekend. I would like any tips or suggestions that would make this job easier.

I think candy tangerine would be it! Red is good, but you will really stand out with an original color! Nice truck. I will be watching this post because I have to do mine as well.
The rear glass installs and removes from the inside of the cab. The easy way to remove the rear window is to cut the rubber seal lip around the outside (rear wall) of the cab, then remove the window and seal together into the cab. Remove the seal and pay attention to the configuration, or get a Mid Fifty catalog to show you how it goes over the glass. Both the window seals on our trucks have a wierd configuration and it is easy to mess up how they go on the window. (Windshield installs from outside the cab).
When ready to install, put a new seal aound the glass. Install a cord around the seal in the groove where the cab lip goes. Have the cord ends cross at the bottom. Apply some dish soap to the same groove. Slip the glass and seal into the hole with the cord on the outside. place the lower lip of the seal over the lower cab lip of the opening. One person holds the glass against the cab hole while the other gently pulls out the cord to help the seal lip over the cab flange.
Voila! Not very tough job. It can be done by one person with long arms, but I haven't tried that method myself.
You should have no trouble installing the back glass. Did you buy a kit for the tilt hood on your truck or fab you own ? It appears to go forward farther than some I've seen , which is a good thing .
