Maf

I am switching from my 94 SD to a 96 MAF, question is there is a house comming off the air intake and not quit sure where it goes, also there is no ventalation breather in the new air box. Is that what that hose replaces??

stop, what are you doing. 96 is not the efi setup you want to be using. its obd-II and is as touchy as Speed density is and has 3 times the sensors regular maf does.

why are you needing to go maf in the first place? this would be a far easier setup

The breather hose goes from oil filler neck to the Y in the air intake tubes . The hose you should have should be about 1ft or so . Instead of on air box. Good luck with the obdII
I use the 94 -95 OBD I setup my self.
But the throttle response and MPG is nice,

I am going to be building a 393 soon and came accross a gool deal for a 96 MAF Com and snesor, no harness yet. I would like to buy an aftermarket harness but out of my price tag. I didn't think the OBII was that bad, I know it had a extra O2 and maybe one other but that was about it. I know I can't remove emissions with OBII but this will be daily driver too. Please fill me in why its not the smartest way to go.

try 3 o2 sensors, the website i posted will be cheaper then the route your going. and no even after you convert to maf with this type of motor your still going to need some dyno tuning or ecu tune with a tweecer. regardless the obd-II system would be more trouble and expensive
