Power Loss
WE ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH A LOSS OF POWER IN OUR FI50
OUR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND THE CODE READER INDICATED MISFIRE SO WE CHANGED THE PLUGS(NOT WIRES
) AND IT CLEARED AND DROVE WELL EXCEPT THAT NOW WE HAVE A LOSS OF RPMS AND IT TRIES TO DIE AT STOPS AND ANYTIME IT IS IN DRIVE AT A SLOW SPEED, SORRY THAT I AM CHATTY BUT MY OLE MAN IS AT A LOSS AND THIS IS MY CHILDS RIDE AND I NEED HER MOBILE AGAIN
ANY BRAINS OUT THERE TO DIRECT US????

Sorry to hear about your problem. You will want to post your question in the tech forums since this one is used for introductions and you won't reach the people you want in this one. Click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll over the list. If it's about your 97 you will want the 97-03 forum and here is the link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum25/
When you post your question, I would recommend mentioning if you have the Coil over plugs (COP) and not to use your caps. Using caps is considered shouting and is also difficult for users to read.
