Can someone tell me where the back-up light switch is located. The manual says that it is located on the transmission, however it is not. Transmission is a A4OD. Thanks for the help!!

That is where I thought it would be also, but it is not. I know that the reverse lights are incorporated into the neutral safety switch. This truck seems to have some type of mechanical block in the shift lever/key tumbler that will only turn to start position in the park or neutral position. I do not have a Ford manual, but the Haynes book says it is on the transmission. Guess what!!!! Not There!!

i have a Chilton..for the auto tranny..look at the top of the shifter housing; on the back of the housing..you should see a cable going up, by looking on driver's side from underneath....you may have to jack the bronco up to disconnect the back up light switch..after disc neg batty cable.
