I know it is the 73-79 forum, my truck has a 197? something 302 in it, Im not inquireing about the body style, just about the ps bracket on any 302 and I thought that i would post in these forums too because the later years came with 302s factory.
I have a 65 f100 and it had a/c but i decided to take it off, I relocated my power steering with the only bracket i had for it and it is not sturdy enough, it keeps throwing the belt. there has to be another bracket for the back side of the pump to the engine, I have the one from the front of the ps pump to the water pump. I need everyone on here that has a pic of there powersteering pump brackets to post them where i can go salvage yard hunting and know what to look for. My engine is a 302 and i am not sure what year it is, please only post pics of 302s. and if you know what years your brackets came off of that would be a plus
Had the same problem with my 76. It came with a 390 and the original owner swapped it out for a 302. Runs great but a lot of things did not line up perfectly - like the PS pump. It was the wrong pump to begin with (large fill tube). Make sure you have the smaller round pump with the skinny fill tube. The bracket setup is 3 pieces. One goes around the pump, one is a triangle that mounts to the front and bolts to the block and the last is a 1" spacer that goes between the block and the bracket. I found my setup on an old mustang. Only trouble I had after that was getting a pressure hose that fit correctly. Ended up having NAPA machine shop make one for me. Lined up and worked perfectly ever since.

thanks for the reply, I have the triangle peice and the bracket around the pump and have the skinny tube ps pump, from your post it seems that i am missing the bracket for the rear of the pump to the head.
and for MIL1ion I have posted in the different forums, like i said earlier, because of my engine being a 302 61-66 didnt come with 302s. I figured more peeps would have 302s in the later year forums.
