Turbo Back Exhaust

I have Ford F250, 2004, 6.0, Harley. want to add 4" stainless steel exhaust. What is best - Turbo back and replace with larger CAT (i have seen new stainless 3" CAT), or leave CAT and repace exhaust from CAT back?

I have the 4" Turbo back MBRP Pro Series exhaust and I am very happy with it. I decided on it after reading all the good reviews here. I currently run the stock cat, but I am probably going to buy the cat delete pipe in the future. It just bolts in place, so if you ever have to get inspected/work done you can put the cat back in.

I am currently running the banks 4" turbo back w/ the cat. I love the exhaust, but if i had to do it again, i would probably run the MBRP. Two of my friends are running the MBRP and i don't think the banks is worth the extra money. Everyone is different though.

I have the Magna-Flow turbo back, no cat, exhaust & muffler system and have been very pleased with it.

The most popular exhaust brand is probably mbrp. I am currently running 4in turbo back straight piped. If I need to, i just swap the delete pipe out for the cat and im good to go agian in about 15 mins. Plus I love the sound too.

How much louder is the straight pipe vs a muffler?

do the dealers give anyone a hard time about having a turbo back as far as warranty work is concerned? even with the cat there?

I discussed it with my Dealer's Service Manager who had no problem with it - in fact he had the same system on his truck.

I have RBP 5" with cat del. Love the sound- not too loud but when you get on it you know its' there. As for warranty, I have not had a problem from my dealer at all they have even replaced the turbo due to oil leak and didn't say a thing about the exhaust.

My dealer installed the exhuast so they don't have a problem. They wouldn't do the cat delete though. I'm not sure if thats becuase they don't want me to do it, or if they were afraid of getting fined for doing it.

Some dealers do some don't. If it is Cat back nobody cares. Turbo back then you need to ask your dealer as all are different.

If a dealer does a CAT delete and gets caught it's a major FUBAR and someone's job most likely. We won't even talk about the $10K plus fine.

Yeah I know that, that's why I wasn't sure if they just didn't want to risk doing it or if they don't want me to do it at all. And I wasn't going to press the issue. I figure I can just throw the delete pipe in myself and swat the cat back in if I have to get it serviced.

I have recently straight piped mine using the muff and cat delete pipes and i'm happy with the sound but don't really like the hiss at start up. after it's warmed up, it's not as bad.
my question is when you order a catback or turbo back MRBP system, do the pipes in the system already have the hanger part welded on so they line up with the stock hangers on the frame? or do you have to have new hangers welded on yourself.
I'm going to be shopping for a turbo back system soon and not sure about putting the cat back in. i use my truck for business and it's registered commercially, but I don't want to get caught someday and get fined. the funny thing is, my friend with a duramax has a banks system turbo back and his truck never even came with a cat. it's a 2500 chevy crewcab shortbed. makes me think that if his came from the factory wwithout one, and it's a turbo diesel engine, then our fords don't need them either. I'd just hate to get a fine. As soon as I talk to my dealer, I'll make the decision about turbo back or cat back. i was just curious about the hanger issue. i know i'dl ike to have a few more hangers now that i lost the muffler and the hangers that were attached to it.
