Mac OS and Intel
Going by the ads and hype, I thought the new Mac OS was suppose to run on an Intel CPu. But, as far as I can tell Mac OS X is a PowerPC only deal. The other OS only runs on a Xeon quad core CPu?
I decided I wanted to learn JAVA this month (either that or Visual BASIC) and the Mac OS sounded good on the surface since it has JAVA built in and I couldn't tell if Linux supports USB2.0.
Am I missing something? Is there a new Apple OS that you can buy that will run on an Intel box?

I have heard that an Intel based Mac Powerbook is the best platform to install Windows Vista on as well. Just to keep you on your toes.

Thank you, that macworld article was exactly what I needed.
"You certainly won’t be able to go out, buy OS X, stick the install DVD in a Dell PC, and have it just work. Apple intends Mac OS X to only run on Apple hardware."
