Sunday, April 14 (the night it REALLY rained), I was headed down to Myrtle Beach with the family passing by your area in NC. I remembered you live in that vicinity. Just as I was thinking that, I saw a '53-'56 F-100 being trailered northbound. Poor thing had plenty of "patina" and a couple missing windows. Hope it was going to a good home. Thought it was a neat coincidence.

I don't know if it still is, but there used to be a "cottage industry" of people coming down south and buying up older vehicles to haul up north to sell to enthusiasts. I remember a dealer back in the 70s in a suburb of Buffalo that sold such vehicles, and advertised they were from the south. Funny thing is we went all the way across the country to get Gracie. I occasionally see 18 wheeler car carriers full of older cars. Should have given us notice you'd be passing thru, we could have had a cup of coffee or a glass of tea for ya.

Thanks. I'll remember that next time. Hope to go back next year. It was a tough drive. About 15 hours. Would have been shorter if my navigator was awake to tell me to take that last exit. I was up 31 hours straight. I did see a car hauler with old cars, but it was headed south. Last car was a '57 T-Bird.
