I have an 06 F150 FX4 which has 23k miles on it. The miles are mainly highway miles so naturally the front end of my truck has taken a beating with stone chips.
I have seen the plastic front end covers or "bras" for sale but I am not sure which ones are good and which are not so good. If I had thought about it more carefully when I bought it I might have had the dealer put on an invisible bra like those made by 3M. I have had these on other vehicles and they seemed to work well.
I would use the bra just for longer road trips as the ones I have seen look kinda hideous. I am not too concerned about the hood right now, mainly the bumper and the panel above it. I would like to protect it before it gets any worse.
Does anyone have any experience of these and if so I would appreciate your advice.
I have used Colgan and wolf/Lebra bra's, Colgan is the superior product. In the industry I haven't seen any as nicely sewn and patterned to the vehicle.
