Recently when I put on cruise control say at 70, it will give gas then abruptly stop and then go again. After a few times It will jump up to about 80-85 then shut down till I hit just below 70. It will keep going from 70-85-70 a few times then just shut off completly and I will have to turn C.C. back on. Any ideas what is going out or needs to be looked at? Thanks Jeff
The spedo has been jumping around above 70 for about 3 years. But never had a problem with the C.C. The rear is new and I know is clean. But it has been getting louder over the past year or so. And I think will go out again before long. Where are there vaccume lines for the CC.
Isn't there a recall on the cruise control units for that year? I have a '95 and thought I remember getting a recall notice in the mail. If so, have the dealership fix it for free.

If you find out how to fix this one let me know as I have a 1995 302 doing the same thing.
I have gone though the rear on this truck so I know it is not that and there is no vacuum connection to the CC on a 1995.
The speedometer does not jump at any speed so I do not think it is the PSOM module.
